RECIPE: Green Bean Salad with Basil, Parmesan, Shallots, and Balsamic

  • Fresh green beans
  • Shallots (thinly sliced)
  • Basil (roughly shredded)
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • Condiments (salt and pepper to taste)


  1. Blanch the green beans
  2. Whisk a vinaigrette with, shallots, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, basil, salt and pepper to taste
  3. Coat the beans with the vinaigrette
  4. Sprinkle with parmesan
  5. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  6. Toss to combine
  7. Chill until ready to serve.
